In December 2022, we successfully launched our annual environmental transformation drive. This initiative is a collaboration between employees from across the company, and volunteer members of our host community Okoloma, Afam, Rivers State come together to clean up and beautify the local community.
This initiative is part of Transcorp Group’s vision to improve and transform the lives of Nigerians. We are sensitive to the increasing importance of sustainability. Sustainability has remained systemically ingrained in how business is conducted, evidenced by the commitment to creating positive environmental, social, and economic impact in our communities.
The purpose of the annual environmental transformation initiative is to drive the use of proper waste disposal within the Okoloma Afam community, educate members of the host community on the benefits of proper waste management and promote good health by avoiding diseases caused by unhealthy environments.
Sustainability continues to be an integral priority, and ESG matters remain part one cohesive business strategy that we continuously seek to build a better future for people and the planet.
